Modern screen sharing utilities allow you to connect to remote computers and control without making any configurations. All you have to do is type in a partner's corresponding ID and password and wait a few seconds for confirmation. Screenhero simplifies this procedure even further. The application works like an instant messenger with screen sharing capabilities. You can chat with your friends or co-workers and you can share your screens right away, whenever it is necessary.

Screenhero is free to try, without any restrictions, for 14 days, after which you have to pay a monthly subscription. The software is available for Windows and Mac OS X and it can be installed quickly. It doesn't ask for any special tools or services and its hardware requirements should not be a challenge for any modern day computer.

Once you install Screenhero, you have to create an online account, which can be done on the application's user interface, without waiting for an email confirmation. Instead of typing an ID number and a password, which are randomly generated, to connect to a remote computer, you can add your friends or co-workers to a contacts list. Whenever you need to control someone's computer, you only need to click a button, next to their entry in the contacts list, to establish the connection.

The application displays your contacts in a list, just like an instant messenger. If they are online, their entries will be displayed together with options for chatting, making voice calls and for sharing your screen with them. Sharing one's screen with Screenhero is just like making a voice call. You only need to click a button and the person on the other end will receive a prompt to accept or decline.

You will only notice a red border flashing on your screen's edges while sharing your screen. It is possible to share the screen with multiple users at the same time. The pest part is that each user has his or her own mouse cursor, so they can work on different things independently.
